First off I'm sorry about this taking so long.

 

Thanks go out to Ed &Kris Vollmer for hosting the May meeting!

 

Our May meeting was held on Saturday May 21st @ Ed & Kris Vollmer residence.

 

Those in attendance were:

Ed & Kris Vollmer; Merlin & Marjon Simonson; Tom & Dakota Simonson; Orville & Diane Vollmers; Gary & Karie Sorknes; JR Lund; Phil & Suzy Blake; and Jimmie & Carol Layne.

 

Since this was the day the world was coming to an end-we all decided at least we would be in good company & good food. But since I am writing this I guess the world DID NOT come to an end!

 

Jimmie stated he checked with CarQuest on the tools; they had no soft sided duffel bags; gear wrenches were $40.00; drop down lights were $56.00; padded rollers seats were $23.30 and the hand held heat sensors were $40.00. The consensus of the group was to go with both CarQuest and Sturdevants and for Jimmie to try to get a better deal. (Since then we have gone with: Handheld heat sensors @ CarQuest for $33.72 and wrenches @ Sturdevants for $21.35.)

 

Ideas for cruises was brought up. Some ideas were for cruising to Madison's Dariy Queen; cruisin to the 50's diner in Starbuck and cruisin to Sunberg where there is a guy there with all kinds of memorablia to look at. Phil also reminded us of the SEMA cruise to the Dairy Queen in Ortonville on Friday July 8.

 

Kris brought it up that even tho Rod & Lori Gustafson are no longer club members she felt that we as a club should donate to the benefit for them. All were in favor that we donate $100.00- $50.00 for Rod and $50.00 for Lori. Phil & Suzy are in charge of this.
