On Sat. Feb. 20th the Cruisers met at Hilltop Cafe in Ortonville at 9am. those attending were JR. Lund, Gary Sorknes, Tom Rice, Doug & LaVonne Fraasch, Jimmie & Carol Layne &Orv & Diane Vollmers.
Tom Rice showed pictures from his trip to Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale,AZ & his trip to Nixon, & Reagans gravesites. He had an enjoyable trip, but he said once was enough to the auction & expensive!!!
We ate and then JR. called the meeting to order and Doug Fraasch had handed out the treasurers report earlier, so we all just checked it over. JR.. told us to bring our gloves to the next meeting , since we might be able to help fill sandbags for the coming flood, as the penisula is very much capable of flooding this year. Orv told him Dumont is going to fill sandbags in March to be prepared early.
Old business was discussed, those that had paid last years dues didn't have to pay this year.
Get dates for parades or shows to Phil & to Roger Hoff, as he volunteered to make a calendar for the club.
Sat. March 20th at 2pm is the St. Patrick's Day parade in Graceville & Sun. July 12th is Dumont's 125th Ann. parade
New business: Jimmie said they'll start collecting for sponsors for the car show & thinking about what kind of dash plaques for next year. The guy that did last years plaques also came later & he said he would make nicer ones this time.
JR. also mentioned that he wasn't sure what was going to happen with Cornfest as they might be tearing up the park, so we might have to find a new place for the carshow. All the guys were going to ask around to find out forsure if the project was going ahead, as we have the site of the show on our posters.
Our next meeting will be March 20th at Hilltop Cafe at 9am. Ortonville will be having their Sports & Leisure show that day also(I think).
We held the dollar drawing & Diane Vollmers won, so she got 4 & the treasure got 5.
